These terms explain how you can use RWT Robotics (robotwebtools.org) and what you can and can’t expect from us. We’ve written them in plain English because a small independent site shouldn’t need a lawyer to decode. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What this site is
RWT Robotics is an independent website covering the robotics industry. We write about humanoids, industrial and warehouse automation, consumer robots, research, funding, and the companies behind them. Our aim is to separate real progress from hype.
We are a content site. We don’t sell robots, run a marketplace, or offer paid services through these pages. Nothing here is sponsored by or affiliated with the companies, labs, or open-source projects we write about unless a page clearly says so.
Using our content
You’re welcome to read, share, and talk about what we publish. The content on this site is for your personal information and general interest.
Here’s what that means in practice:
- You can read and bookmark our pages, share links to them, and quote short excerpts with clear credit to RWT Robotics.
- You can’t republish full articles or substantial portions of them, sell our content, or present it as your own.
- You can’t use automated tools to bulk copy, scrape, or mirror the site without our written permission.
Unless stated otherwise, the text, original graphics, and layout of this site belong to us. Images, logos, product photos, and video stills from other sources belong to their respective owners.
Not professional advice
Our articles are general information. They are not professional advice of any kind.
That includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Investment advice. We cover funding rounds, valuations, and public companies. None of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.
- Engineering or safety advice. Robots can be heavy, fast, and dangerous. If you build, program, operate, or work near robotic systems, follow the manufacturer’s documentation, applicable safety standards, and qualified professionals. Don’t rely on a web article.
- Purchasing advice. Our opinions on products are our honest views at the time of writing. Your needs, budget, and environment may differ, so do your own checks before buying.
- Legal or regulatory advice. Rules on automation, workplace safety, drones, and data vary by location and change often.
Any decision you make based on our content is your own.
Accuracy and changes
We work hard to get things right. We check claims against primary sources where we can, and we try to make clear the difference between what a company has shown, what it has announced, and what is still a rumor.
Even so, robotics moves quickly. Specifications change, prices shift, launch dates slip, and companies revise their claims. A page that was accurate when published may be out of date by the time you read it.
So please keep these points in mind:
- We can’t guarantee that every page is complete, current, or error free.
- Company demos and press materials sometimes leave out important context, such as teleoperation, editing, or controlled conditions. We flag this when we know about it, but we can’t always know.
- We may update, correct, or remove content at any time without notice.
If you spot a mistake, tell us. We’d rather fix it than leave it up.
External links and third-party content
Some pages may reference or point to other websites, videos, papers, or product pages. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or security.
A reference to an outside site is not an endorsement of that site, its owner, or anything it sells. Visiting third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
Trademarks and company names
Company names, product names, robot names, and logos mentioned on this site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to identify and discuss those companies and products.
Mentioning a brand doesn’t mean that brand has reviewed, approved, sponsored, or partnered with us.
Acceptable use
We want this site to stay fast, safe, and available for everyone. When you use it, please don’t:
- Try to break into, overload, or disrupt the site or the servers it runs on.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
- Probe for security weaknesses or try to get around access controls.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive.
- Pretend to be RWT Robotics or misrepresent your connection to us.
- Copy or scrape content in ways described in “Using our content” above.
If we ever add features like comments or reader submissions, we’ll expect the same basic courtesy: no spam, no harassment, no illegal material, and nothing you don’t have the right to share. We may remove content or block access for anyone who misuses the site.
Availability of the site
We try to keep the site running smoothly, but we don’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of technical problems. We may change, pause, or retire any part of the site at any time.
Limitation of liability
In plain words: this site is provided “as is.” We offer it free, in good faith, and without guarantees of any kind.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from:
- Using or relying on information published here.
- Errors, omissions, or out-of-date content.
- The site being unavailable, slow, or affected by technical faults.
- Content, products, or services on any third-party site.
This covers direct losses and indirect ones, such as lost money, lost data, or lost opportunities. Some places don’t allow certain limits on liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where that’s the case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example if the site adds new features or the law changes. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Changes take effect as soon as they’re posted. If you keep using the site after an update, you’re agreeing to the revised terms. It’s worth checking back occasionally.
Questions
If something in these terms is unclear, or you want to ask about using our content beyond what’s allowed here, please get in touch through the contact options listed on this site. We read every message and will do our best to reply.
