RWT Robotics covers robots you can actually buy or pre-order, including humanoids, robot dogs and home robots, along with practical ROS 2 guides. This page explains how our articles are produced so you can decide how much weight to give them.

Who runs the site

A small editorial team runs RWT Robotics. The team chooses the topics we cover, sets the standards described on this page and maintains the site.

RWT Robotics is not affiliated with the open-source Robot Web Tools project. The names are similar, but we are a separate site.

How articles are researched and written

Every article starts from published sources: official announcements, product documentation, data and public records.

We do not test, buy or use the robots and products we cover. When an article describes a robot’s abilities, price, deposit or availability, it reports what the sources say. It does not describe something we saw or tried in person. Where that difference matters to you, the article says so.

How facts are checked

Before an article is published, its facts are checked against the sources it lists. If a claim cannot be confirmed, we take one of three steps:

  • correct it
  • label it as unconfirmed
  • remove it

Each article lists its sources at the end. It also shows when it was first published and when it was last updated, so you can judge how current it is.

Robot labels

Every claim about a robot carries a label that shows how far it could be verified:

  • Shipping
  • Pre-order
  • Demo only
  • Announced

A label tells you at a glance whether a robot is something you can get now or something that has so far only been announced or demonstrated. The Labels and sourcing page explains each label in detail.

Corrections and sponsorship

If a reader points out an error and we confirm it, we correct the article and change its updated date. The new date tells you the page has changed since it was first published.

We do not publish sponsored articles. What we cover and how we describe it is decided by the editorial team using the standards on this page.
